GET TO KNOW MRS. PICCIONE
I love the Lord.
This is one of my favorite verses. I am so thankful for the many blessings the Lord has given me and I'm thrilled to go through this life following Him and discovering all He has in store for me!
I love my family!
My family lives just outside of Morgantown. My husband and I have lived in the NHJ community for over 25 years, but we recently moved to Waverly. Our son is a graduate of the the Kelley School of Business at IUPUI and our daughter is a Junior at Indiana University South Bend.
I love my job!
I first decided that I wanted to be a teacher when I was in the 6th grade. Thanks to some amazing and inspirational teachers who really helped me along the way, I decided that teaching would be my life's work. It is now my passion! I went back to school when my daughter started school, and I have been teaching at Indian Creek Intermediate School since the 2006-2007 school year. My hope is that I will inspire students to have a love of learning as well.
I love my dogs!
I have two dogs, Rudy and Roxy. They are yorkshire terriers that were rescued from humane societies. My husband and I traveled to St. Louis, Missouri, to adopt Rudy after I saw a story about him on the Oprah Winfrey Show!
I love to travel!
My family and I enjoy taking "learning vacations", where we visit landmarks and other locations important to our great nation's history.
In 2012, I had the opportunity to travel to Germany for 2 weeks with my parents and grandmother. Not only did I learn more about the history of the country, but I also got to visit with family members that still live there. For part of the trip, I stayed in the town where my grandparents lived, went to school and work, and where my dad was born!
